Future and Recent Events on the NZ CIGRE Calendar

Please check the main CIGRE International website for the most up-to-date information about events on the general CIGRE calendar. Also refer to the latest issue of Electra for a summary of Future Events usually given on a separate page towards the back of the journal.

The schedule below includes those events where the NZNC is involved in the organisation and where NZ CIGRE members and NZ power engineers in general will benefit from participation.

2009, 20 to 24                   April in                  Christchurch
 Hosting the main CIGRE Technical Committee in Christchurch for its 2009 meetings over 2 days.

2009, 23 April in            Christchurch
 Arrange for the CIGRE TC Chairman and three SC Chairmen to present papers at the EPECentre Conference on Power Quality for Future Networks.

2008, 24 to 29                  August in                Paris
   2008 CIGRE Paris Session. New Zealand had two papers accepted for this major event:

Paper C6-104  "Optimising the scale of a wind farm development at the weak extrimity of a rural network" by Ray Brown and Roger Paterson

Paper D1-210 "Practical experience on condition assessment of stator insulation using polarisation / depolarisation current technique" by Supatra Bhumiwat

2007, 14 June   Network Security of Supply Workshop , Auckland. Organised by the EEA and CAENZ and supported by the NZNC who arranged for the Convenor of CIGRE ANC AP C1 to present a paper.
